I finally managed to have a casual stall at surry hills’ monthly fashion market. It was a great day of meeting new people, hanging out with friends, chatting over our love for vintage and taking snaps of the stylish people! This lady changed into different outfits and was really jolly about being photographed. Love all your pieces. He saw me taking a photo of him and smiled gently. I have a patch crochet couch cover but this looks warm fluffy and stylish on him.

I saw her buying a train ticket with her friend and waited around for a bit. She likes to shop at American Apparel. I really need to improve the shooting skill aie.

Lisa is a stylish lady from Alpha60. When I asked her if she gets a lot of people wanting to photograph her style she told me she was photographed by Bill Cunningham in New York last year! Thanks for the photo 🙂 Bill Cunningham has been documenting street fashion in New York EVERY DAY for the past 50 years. He is the original photographer way before other street photographers such as thesartorialist. They are both my role models to persist in street photography each day. Check out the documentary about Bill and his special column in New York Times.
Love the combination of the two colours. Love this coat and how the collars naturally and stylishly hang about. I was just in awe seeing Lisa moving about in the store.This is my first encounter with Alpha60 in Melbourne in 2006. I guess the creator must have loved Jean Luc Godard and his film Alphaville.

Rita is happy with her new shoes 🙂 Always a pleasant experience to find the overall outfit in one place. I couldn’t overcome my shyness but captured this awesome phone booth handbag!

I took a photo from behind her and finally asked her if she could pose for me. She is from Boston and so super ultra friendly and cool! All the best with your new life in Sydney! As I walked down Kings street I saw this lady with her vintage clothing on display. She is going on an adventure to the organic farms and then might soon be off to Europe. I bought a pair of black velvet heels from her. She is wearing handmade soft leather skirt with snake skin hemming!
Vintage display at Red Cross Australia in Newtown I followed this lady for a while. Really like her colour combination of the flower, scarf and dark blue dress.

So elegant and chic as she walked around in sportsgirl. Beautiful.
She looks much more beautiful than in the picture. She was very patient when I couldn’t get the focus right. Love her vintage style.
I saw her walking by and summoned my courage to catch her. success 🙂 He is just too cool. Asking strangers to be photographed is harder than jumping off a cliff.
